his is the first annual Blue Star Cougar Challenge Duathlon, so grab your running shoes and your mountain bike and head to Susanville Ranch park on September 16, 2017 This is a family event and all ages are welcome.
The race begins with a 2 mile run on a dirt trail, followed by a 9 mile bike ride on a dirt trail and ends with a 2 mile run on a dirt trail.
Please register early to ensure your spot and your free t-shirt and participation medal. On August 1, 2017 prices will increase by $5.00 per individual/team, on September 1, 2017 prices will increase again by $5.00 per individual/team and anyone registering after September 10, 2017 will not be guaranteed a t-shirt and anyone registering on the day of the race will not receive a t-shirt and race day registration with close at 8:00 am.
There will be a free fun run for kids 16 years old and younger. The race will be approximately 1 mile and the fun run race will start at 8:00 a.m. So bring the family and enjoy a day of fun.
All proceeds will go to Soaring Eagles Blue Star Moms and the Angel Bike program. The Angel Bike program provides handbikes to veterans who are unable to use their legs. Every bike is custom made for the veteran who will own and use it.
Packet pick up : September 15, 2017, Veterans Memorial Hall 1205 Main Street, Susanville, Ca 96130 from 3:00pm to 7:00 p.m., and on September 16, 2017 until 8:30 a.m.
