Lund Petrified Forest – High Rock Canyon – Lund Petrified Forest
Day one, the route starts and ends at the Lund Petrified Forest. The route circles the Little High Rock Canyon Wilderness, passing springs and reservoirs as it touches the wilderness at the top and bottom of the canyon. Midway through the route we will be splitting the High Rock and Little High Rock Canyon Wildernesses. The dispersed camping area will have spectacular views, opportunities for wildlife viewing, and stargazing.
Day two, the route descends above High Rock Lake, exits through Smokey Canyon, passing the mouth of Little High Rock Canyon and reaching the edge of High Rock Lake Wilderness Area. This course works for gravel and mountain bikes though it is easier on a mountain bike.
