Peavine HC 6/10/10 Results

The Peavine Hillclimb was tonight.  30 riders.  Conditions weren't so bad, it was breezy and cool but it could have been a lot worse.  Dale Hodes was able to staff a lower start line for the C's and Juniors, so everybody was able to finish in a reasonable time.  The lower finish was 4.1 miles and 1700' of climbing; all the way to the top was 6.5 miles and 2875' of climbing (this time-my GPS gives out different readings).

Those who made it to the top were rewarded with spectacular views and a beautiful sunset, (along with severe fatigue, cramping, and numb fingers and toes).  I got some great pics I'm posting on the 'Reno Mountain Bike Twilight Races' facebook page.

Winners in each Category received a $20 gift certificate to Sierra Cyclesmith.  Jeremy, Carla, and Blake- I still have yours.

Next week is Sky Tavern, let's hope for some warm weather and snow melt between now and then.  One thing is for sure-it may be a memorable race.
